Information and Advice and Advocacy

_info-advice-and-advocWhat can you do to slow sight deterioration? How important is it to get registered? What help is at hand? And what about financial and other benefits for blind and partially sighted people?

There are so many questions, and Croydon Vision can provide the answers.

We offer the best information and advice, not only to those who suffer sight loss but to their relatives and friends.

Sometimes people find it difficult to find the help they need from government, or to challenge a decision of a landlord, utility company or the NHS.

An advocacy service is available from us directly or from Advice Services Croydon (ASC) led by Age UK and of which Croydon Vision is a key partner.

A member about Help with PIP applications

Thank you so much Croydon Vision for being so patient, I really think I would have given up without your support and guidance.

A member about Help with PIP applications

I truly appreciate the support Croydon Vision has given to me,  I have gone from being ignored to getting a benefit that will make a huge difference to me

A member on Help with Attendance Allowance application

I was encouraged to get the application forms for Attendance Allowance, a benefit I didn’t believe I would be entitled to. Croydon Vision helped me with the forms and gathering all the evidence and chased and challenged the DWP when things went wrong. The end result I got the full benefit so I can now pay someone to help me do all the things I have been wanting to do for years. I feel so much safer at home and better in myself
